If you notice a reduction in response time or mouse function, you probably need to replace the batteries (usually AAA) or charge your mouse. Or, you may need an adaptor for it to work properly.
If your wireless mouse is not working, the wireless receiver may have come unplugged from your computer. This is true for some wireless mice, too.
